As I have traveled, it has been my great pleasure to meet many of you face to face and I can\u2019t wait to have the chance to meet more in the coming year.<\/p>\n<p>It has been too long since I\u2019ve written a post and I\u2019m recommitting to you here that I\u2019m excited to start writing again. In the near future, I\u2019ll be sending posts on topics ranging from creating a 5-word GPS system for your class to lessons learned from seeing the Jabbawockeez show in Las Vegas this week.<\/p>\n<p>I want to remind you that Teach Like a PIRATE has a thriving community on Twitter under the hashtag #tlap. We have a chat every Monday at 8:00pm CST but you can find amazing thoughts and ideas from fellow pirates all week by looking into the hashtag. I\u2019m @burgessdave on Twitter and I\u2019d love to connect with you there, as well.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be engaged in the incredibly mighty purpose of being an educator.
