Hey...real talk. You may be absolutely overwhelmed and at a loss for how you are going to manage the many demands and uncertainties of this school year. Truth be told, nobody has this all figured out. Everybody is a first year teacher this year. Everybody is a first year school leader. Nobody took a class in pandemic pedagogy to get their credential.
I love this thought from Jill Siler in Thrive Through The Five, “Big things happen when we take the next best step...over and over and over again.”
That’s it. You don’t have to figure it all out. Release that stress and unrealistic expectation from your life. Figure out your next best step. Take that step. Then try again.
You may feel overwhelmed.
You may feel inadequate.
But…
You are exactly everything you need to be to meet this moment.
