Two Years Later...the Kings are BACK!
Two years ago in 2018 on this very day, January 8th, we released one of the bestselling books in the DBC Inc. line, The Wild Card: 7 Steps to an Educator’s Creative Breakthrough by Hope and Wade King. It immediately set the educational world on fire and set new records along the way. I wrote about the release in a blog RIGHT HERE.
Well, two years later, we are proud to announce that we are releasing another project with the Kings...and this time it is a beautiful picture book illustrated by the wildly talented, Mat Sadler.
Introducing Wild Card Kids: A journey to Magic. This is a gorgeous book infused with powerful messages of empowerment. I have copied and pasted the Amazon description below:
Five kids find a mysterious deck of cards--and are plunged into a strange new world. Maverick, Piper, Zian, Zak, and Skye must now find their way back home. They carry with them the deck's wild card, which provides both clues and challenges they must overcome on their journey. Along the way, the children have individual revelations, experience personal growth, and learn the true nature of empowerment.
The Wild Card Kids teaches five important life skills, represented by the acronym MAGIC. The story is designed for discussions about each character's personal journey. It is based on the concepts of creative instruction and engagement introduced by Wade and Hope King in their bestselling book The Wild Card.
The Kings have had a lot going on this past year!! They have continued to develop and build the incredible Get Your Teach On conferences and, most importantly, welcomed their first child, Maverick, into the world. A fun fact is that one of the children in #WildCardKids is named Maverick to honor their son!!
