Pirate Greetings from San Diego,
Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends and Happy November 28th to my friends from other countries!
I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how grateful I am to be connected with you and for the support you have shown for the Teach Like a PIRATE message. As I have traveled, it has been my great pleasure to meet many of you face to face and I can’t wait to have the chance to meet more in the coming year.
It has been too long since I’ve written a post and I’m recommitting to you here that I’m excited to start writing again. In the near future, I’ll be sending posts on topics ranging from creating a 5-word GPS system for your class to lessons learned from seeing the Jabbawockeez show in Las Vegas this week.
I want to remind you that Teach Like a PIRATE has a thriving community on Twitter under the hashtag #tlap. We have a chat every Monday at 8:00pm CST but you can find amazing thoughts and ideas from fellow pirates all week by looking into the hashtag. I’m filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be engaged in the incredibly mighty purpose of being an educator. We are in the life-changing business and I’m honored to have amazing people like you to sail with on this awesome journey.
